Youth Office of the Municipality of Raska, with the support of the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union, implemented a project of twinning of towns and municipalities in the period from 26th of May to 1st of June 2017th.
In the above mentioned period, participants had the opportunity to meet each other through presentations of towns /municipalities they represent. More about the places and countries from which the partners come, attendees could find out by asking questions. Considering that the Municipality of Raška - Youth Office Raška is the project leader, an important issue for the host was a youth policy. In one and a half hourly discussion, the participants represented youth policy practice in their seats and examples of good practice. Significant debates were related to the topic of cooperatives and rural development, and that is actually the greatest potential for further contacts and cooperation between the partners of the project.
With colleagues from Lithuania (Jonava), Latvia (Daugavpils), Bulgaria (BS Group), Slovenia (Mladinski center Hrastnik), Greece (Farkadona), Slovakia (Hel’pa village) and Italy (Caltanissetta), we visited Semeteš Lake, Kopaonik, Gradačka and Jošanička Spa, ethno village "Toplina duše" in Pavlica, with the aim of international networking, development of rural areas and promotion of cooperation in the field of tourism.
In their towns/municipalities, all the partners will present results of the project and the advantages and potentials of the Municipality of Raška, as well as of the other partners in the project.
This year in June, all the partners involved in the implementation of the United will sign a Memorandum on mutual cooperation and became twinned towns.
